"Love isn't just an Emotion;
It's
a Promise, a Commitment."
They say opposites attract but then sometimes the ones who are meant to be still end up
with each other.
Shriya & Vedant - An arranged love story. A Gujju Girl & Marwari boy
were meant to say 'We Do' in the most romantic setting.
It started from a small scale engagement/goldhana/Roka ceremony of 300 pax going into double the number of people till we got to it. Everything had become grander and bigger from one we had spread out to two Lotus Ballrooms at the JCC, Mumbai. After months of preparations came the D Day, the day of going down on his knees for her and asking her a forever that was about to begin.
And
She said Yes !!

The evening started with Shriya & Vedant walking into Dhol beats and both sides of
families cued up to shower the couple with petals. The bride & groom went up on to the
stage and the ceremonies commenced. The groom's side started with the rituals of the
Roka Ceremony with Shlokas and adorned Shriya with clothes, jewels and gifts. Then came
the Gol- Dhana Ceremony where the bride’s family exchanged gifts and the Panditji read
out the necessary.
Post the ceremony the couple left the venue for their portraits. Meanwhile the crowd
kept adding up and we were all geared up for the second entry of the couple which was to
a pack of dancers escorting them to a 'Sky Full of Stars' with moon globes held in their
hand. The couple grooved and went up to the stage. Then followed the kids from their
family who walked up with coded jewelry boxes which held the rings and a small boy lead
the pack with a board reading
"They didn’t trust me with the rings" which was so so adorable.
The couple exchanged rings and looks and then proceeded for cake cutting amongst their
families followed by performances from both sides. The groom's side definitely stole the
show. We also had a little BTS playing on the screen to show what it took to get here
after all the practices. The evening was hosted by the bride's sisters Sanya &
Mehak.
The Evening was then taken over by the Band all the way from Kolkata named 'Trap' they
took everyone over with their soulful voice. Everyone grooved to their tunes. The bar
was flowing with personalized and curated cocktails. The food spread was a mix of all
cuisines and was very elaborate.
DJ Maddy took over the evening with Lalit on percussion. The visuals depicted the Made
in Heaven vibe and it was all so perfect. The after party we had customized a fries
station which was dedicated to the bride for her love for fries.
An engagement that seemed more like a wedding.
To a match Made in Heaven
